BSc. Kinesiology
Bess holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. As a registered member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK), she blends her training in human movement and behavioural science to support clients with thoughtful, holistic rehabilitation.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Bess brings a culturally informed and inclusive approach to her work. Her professional journey includes valuable experience volunteering and working in various clinical and community settings, including Vancouver General Hospital, GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre, Monarch House, and seniors’ care homes. She has worked with a wide range of clients—from children to seniors—and currently supports individuals of all ages in improving their physical health and reaching their functional goals.
Bess is committed to helping people regain confidence and return to the activities that matter most to them. She values building strong therapeutic relationships and enjoys creating tailored exercise and movement programs that encourage long-term progress. Her interest in physical activity began early through years of varsity-level badminton in middle and high school, where she also spent time coaching youth aged 6 to 13. Outside the clinic, she stays active by playing badminton, is currently learning tennis, and enjoys fitness classes like Pilates and spin.
