Lilian Chung
BSc(Kin), MPT
Lilian graduated with a Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (with Distinction) from Simon Fraser University.
She believes in approaching therapy from a compassionate lens by listening to- and working collaboratively with her clients to achieve their goals. With 10 years of rehabilitation experience, Lilian is committed to finding the source of the problem by assessing interrelated areas of the body, rather than merely treating symptoms, so that her clients can achieve long-term success. After your sessions with Lilian, you will understand contributors to your pain and feel empowered to take control of your healing through lifestyle modifications and exercise!
With a passion to enrich the quality of rehabilitation, Lilian is an Educator within her community and teaches movement-based analysis and treatment. She has worked with diverse populations, including high performance athletes, “weekend warriors,” and those with and motor-vehicle injuries.
Lilian has extensive experience with successful shoulder and knee rehabilitation. She also has a special interest in rock climbing injuries and other sport-related injuries.
She received multiple awards in the Masters of Physical Therapy program for both academic and clinical success, including the Rehabilitation Sciences Award and Evert Boxtart Memorial Award in Physical Therapy. Lilian is a dedicated life-long learner and holds several post-graduate certifications including the Canadian Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy, Neurokinetic Therapy, Functional Dry Needling and Anatomical Acupuncture.
In her spare time, you can find Lilian rock climbing, hiking, playing ultimate frisbee and spending time with her friends and family!
