Y-Strap Introduced as Safe and Effective Spinal Decompression Therapy

Thankfully, we now live in a world where the public has learned to question the necessity of surgery and prescription drugs as the “default” method to treat chronic pain and discomfort. In some cases they may be necessary, but much of the time physiotherapy and chiropractic interventions can offer a safer and equally (or more) effective route. So when it comes to persistent headaches, neck pain, back pain, pinched nerves sciatic leg pain, and more, you’ll be pleased to hear the latest news coming out of our very own Burnaby BC clinic; Y-strap adjustment chiropractic therapy is now available to treat residents of Greater Vancouver!

For the uninitiated, a Y-strap adjustment is an innovative form of spinal decompression therapy that has skyrocketed in chiropractic application and public demand over the last 5-years. When done under the expert hands of a professional chiropractor, Y-strap adjustments safely and effectively treat neck pain, headaches, herniated/degenerated discs, chronic neck tension, tightness and other related concerns. This is VERY exciting physiotherapy news for the people of Greater Vancouver BC. Click the following to learn more about our Y-strap adjustment chiropractor service.

Physiotherapy Suggested to Help Seniors Enjoy Better Quality of Life

In their Senior Living segment, the SaltWire Network, a news network based out of Atlantic Canada, recently published an article regarding the benefits and physiotherapy-guided massage therapy for our cherished seniors:

“The addition of massage therapy to the plan can be helpful in ensuring optimal results are reached with physiotherapy care for seniors. It should be considered a valuable tool in the toolbox for helping seniors achieve optimal comfort and function so they can continue enjoying all the activities they love.”

Physio Continues to be Employed to Increase Efficiency in Hospitals

Earlier in the year, we published a news story about how hospitals are beginning to introduce physiotherapy into emergency rooms (ER) as a means to better assess and serve new patients. The concept of integrating physiotherapy into the hospital environment is expanding even further as a means to improve efficiencies for patients and hospital staff alike. One Canadian hospital is employing physio to help assess the readiness of patients prior to discharge to get them home (and comfortable) quicker:

“Physiotherapy assesses patients hours after surgery to ensure they are physically ready for discharge and they are discharged home with the same pain medications they would receive during hospital admission.:

“”The Day Surgery Joint Replacement program has gone very well thanks to a collaborative effort from the nursing staff, physiotherapy and administration.”

“We are so fortunate to have surgeons, operating room staff and physiotherapists who demonstrate the highest quality of professionalism in their fields”
